What made you want to get in to web design?
I have has a passion for learning about technology from a young age, I was always curious about how things worked and how they were built, whether that be software, computers, phones and all things techie! What are you working on right now? Things are busy for us a The Cardiff Web Designer – we have many projects on-going but due to confidentiaility we cannot discuss any of them. All we can say is keep an eye out for our brand in the future. We’ll be powering some major projects!
What was your first ever job?
My first ever job was at my local news agents. I later started working for my cousin within his pharmaceutical business doing admin but found a real passion for everything IT.
What is your proudest achievement?
My proudest achievement would be starting my own business – I always knew I didn’t want to work for anyone but thinking and doing something can be two completely different things. In December 2016 I quit my job and I’ve not looked back! For anyone thinking of going out there and setting up their own business all I can say is commit to it 100% and graft hard – you’ll be surprised as to what you can achieve!
Who is your biggest inspirtation and why?
My biggest inspiration would have to be my family – I come from a family of serial entrepeneurs so finding my own path was always something I was hoping to acheive. My father and uncle came over from Iran and literally couldn’t even speak the English Language, my dad would tell me how he would translate evertyhing word for word from English to Farsi. Now that’s impressive if I do say so myself. I think it gave me the extra push to believe in myself, anything is possible with hard work and dedication!
Which is your favourite social media platform and why?
Now that’s a difficut choice. I think they all have their own benefits for business and personal use. LinkedIn would be my preferred choice for business growth – it’s great to be able to speak to the decision makers of any business and get a greater understanding of their background before approaching them.
What do you like about Cardiff?
Everything! What’s not to like! Cardiff is home, I grew up in Thornhill and have loads of family and friends here. I love everything about it, especially the atmosphere on match days.
Any advice for people wanting to enter your field?
Network, network and network some more! Your network is your net worth. I’d say don’t burn any bridges, even if you don’t make a deal, you never know they may keep you in mind for next time!
