This is Theatre – Nathan Palmer 2017 Fashion Show in Association with Sinclair Mercedes was a phenomenal success!
On Friday 8th of December we attended This is Theatre – Nathan Palmer’s 2017 catwalk event held at the National Museum of Wales. Nathan Palmer is a fashion designer and bespoke ‘celebrity tailor’. He studied fashion design at the University of Caerleon and traditional tailoring techniques in a tailoring school based in Canton in Cardiff.
“The greatest element about being a Welsh fashion designer born in Cardiff, means that we are going through this journey together, you have been with me from the first stitch I have ever sewn and we will always be together until my last seam.” – Nathan Palmer Fashion Designer
The event’s dress code was black tie and everyone looked so elegant! We loved getting dressed up in our ballgowns. We were greeted with a champagne reception and mingled with the other guests upon arrival. The main event itself was hosted by Darren Campbell MBE. There was a piano concerto accompaniment to the fashion show which complimented the show beautifully.
After the show we were lead into the main hall for a three course meal. The menus were tucked into napkins making them look like little suit jackets – it was a great special touch! For starter we had a spiced bean and winter vegetable soup which was absolutely delicious. The main course was a very festive roast dinner and for desert it was a chocolate yuletide torte with Christmas pudding ice cream with mulled wine coulis. Thank you to Elior group UK for the fabulous catering and menus.
‘You can have anything you want in life if you dress for it.’ Nathan believes there is something about a man or a woman in an exceptional suit that exudes calibre and embraces power dressing for success. The distinction between style and fashion is only found in quality. That’s what Nathan Palmer Bespoke truly embodies; quality materials, designs and tailoring made to last.
Due to popular demand Nathan has recently opened a studio and shop in Penarth, the address is 12a Royal Buildings, Stanwell Road, Penarth CF64 3ED.
53 outfits created, just under 2,000 hours spent by Nathan making the outfits after initial designs and just over 3 million stitches involved in the tailoring. Overall, it was an incredible evening of theatre, fashion, music and dance. We were honoured to have been invited and look forward to seeing what the next year holds for Nathan Palmer.
